WELCOME TO THE AWM OFP / CWA DVD-ROM

========================================
WELCOME TO THE AWM OFP / CWA DVD-ROM
========================================

Hard to beleive its been 20+ years since the first official AWM release.

The AWM (Airwolf Mod) is a professional OFP addon production, also compatible with CWA.

If you're new to OFP / CWA, Then i strongly advise you use the NOOBIES Button on the Main Menu!

DOWNLOAD THE LATEST BUILD: HERE

========================================
NOTES:
========================================

The OFP community uses Game / Addon tag's to keep track of Addon File Names and the Object Classes within each addon.
(this was done to avoid conflicts with addons using a Class Name that would cause issues if another addon used the same Class Code)

As such, a lot of work went into the creation of many addons over the years to avoid causing errors during game play.
(this is something you MUST factor in when scripting missions that call for Audio, Faces OR Annimations you've defined in a "description.ext" file).

Remember, a "file name" in a mission or a PBO has no bearing / conflict implications, But how you define that files "Class" does!

========================================

This DVD was created by TheWraith in 2025, it Has been Tested / Is Compatible with Windows XP through to Windows 11.
If you experiance issues running this Menu on Newer versions of Windows, then all i can advise is you manually use the folders.

This DVD does Not offer users anything illegal.

The Game Installer is the Official Download File
And It Does / Will Require
        a Valid Install Key....

Which you won't get from me!

Do NOT Modify this ISO with Any illegal Content!

Use the HELP Button or Press H within the menu for additional help using the DVD-ROM

========================================
OFP / CWA KEY TESTER:
========================================

The Key tester is designed to Check Keys in an effort to make sure you're Not using a Leaked / Stolen / Pirated Install Key.

HOW TO TEST A KEY:

PRESS S ON ANY MENU SCREEN (not tab)

Enter the first 4 characters from your KEY

Followed by the  -  Symbol

And then the next 5 Characters from your KEY

EXAMPLE

  TWYH-JHBH6

THEN CLICK SEARCH

This Key Tester ONLY Checks for Known Keys in the wild using a Partial Match System.
AND It Does NOT Provide You with any CD Keys!
Nor will it advise you about What game Version the key you tested came from / is for.

Also be aware this Tester does Not contain Any Complete Keys.
IE, It is totally pointless attempting to use any form of HEX Editor OR other Tool to try and extract Complete Keys from my testing code.
Because I have only included 9 Characters (1234-56789) Worth of each known key. Not the whole Key!

BE AWARE:
Using a Leaked / Stolen Key is illegal And can cause you problems when Trying to Connect / Join Certain Multiplayer Servers!

IE:
If you get this search Result (while testing your keys 9 characters)

WARNING THIS CD / INSTALL KEY HAS BEEN PIRATED!

Then that Key has been shared by someone on-line and should not be used!

For more Information on this Install Key Test function, PRESS S on any screen and search for KEY TESTER

========================================

The In-Menu Links Tab will give you access to 3 Very Special IMPORTANT Links!

One is an Archive (1000's of Addons) in their Zips / Rars with Readme files and whatever Information they Originally Came With.

One is an Archive of Missions and Scripts in their Zips / Rars with Readme files and whatever Information they Originally Came With.

One is a RAW Archive of Addon PBO Files (all LACKING their Readme files and whatever Information they Originally Came With)
BE AWARE THAT THE PBO ARCHIVE ISN'T A MIRROR OF THE Zip / Rar ARCHIVE. THE PBO ARCHIVE CONTAINS FAR MORE FILES
(will come in very very very handy for those who know what they're doing and need a specific PBO)

One is an Archive of Software and Tools for OFP / CWA

Dealing With Addon Errors

Most  MISSING ADDON  / MISSING OBJECT Errors
Can be resolved by understanding the actual error message.

ERROR EXAMPLE 1

Cannot load mission, missing addons:  awml

That basic error format relates to a single missing pbo file called  awml.pbo
Which is required / used in that specific mission you tried to load
OR required by a Vehicle / Aircraft you have tried to place in the mission editor.

IE, another addon you do have (or a mission) that Uses / Requires a unit / Model / Textures within  awml.pbo  which you don’t currently have.

So, in that type of error message, it has provided you with the missing filename
(but it just left off) the  .pbo from the missing file name.

Understanding this error Format WILL help you Identify the NAME of any missing PBO file.

IE, please don’t ask me every time you get a missing addons error what it means
     because I’ve covered that.
If it makes no sense, read it again. It’s a really simple one

IE, anything (missing addons) after that  :  symbol
is the actual name of the PBO file you lack and it just oddly doesn’t say  .pbo

Understanding EXAMPLE 1 will also help you resolve errors when you've
added a UNIT but that UNIT requires a Weapon from another addon maker

JUST REMEMBER, the Error Example 1 Provides the Name of the PBO for you!

Use the  “OFP-CWA PBO Files” Link to find the exact PBO,
They’re listed alphabetically on the page.

IE, if that PBO ain't on my links then i clearly don't have it,
And you Way Way Reduce you chance of help by replying to a post looking for a PBO!
Because whos going to get a notification to your comment??
Me, the guy who clearly doesn't have it.. And no one else is going to be notified!

ERROR EXAMPLE 2

Cannot open object  ags_build\build7.p3d

This more in-depth form of error message
typically relates to an Island that you’ve added (but lack a required PBO)

Which is usually an addon that has buildings inside used by the Island maker OR an addon that requires features / functions from Another Addon.

Again, such an error is easy to resolve by understanding the Error Message.

First you can ignore the  \build7.p3d  and just focus on the word   ags_build   that word (before the First \ symbol) Is the missing addon name.

The \build7.p3d is just the 3d file within the addon.  As such you lack  ags_build.pbo

Again you can use the PBO files link to obtain the missing PBO

If you've downloaded an Island OR Mission (with a readme)
that tells you what Addons you need, then Use the Addons Link (not the PBO Link)
Because some addons you need, will ALSO "Sometimes" require other addons.

IE, if an Island / Mission you're installing says you need Bla Bla "Mod" .
The readme For / In "Bla Bla mod" might state you need another addon for that one to work.

The RAW PBO's Archive should only really be used as a Last Resort
because theirs NO Readme Files on That link.

That said, You're going to find PBO's you never even knew existed
or survived website culls, such as many of the Stargate Related PBO Files!

Please Do Not Ask Random Questions On Unrelated Posts,
if you've addons Ive Not, Then Yip Im willing to add them to my Archive Links,
but ive frankly covered what you need to know about Missing Addon Errors AND others WON'T see your / requests / questions unless you POST rather than COMMENT

Last but not Least  :'(

ERROR EXAMPLE 3

No entry 'CONFIG.cpp/CfgVehicles/default.scope'.

Their is NO simple fix for this, it is likely an INCOMPLETE / UNFINISHED Addon

IE, The only solutions are either a Final or NEWER Version (which again if ive not got on them links then its POINTLESS to ask me) IE Make a POST NOT A COMMENT

Only other solution is ask around on a forum (or if theirs a readme / email then ask the maker) OR, you could try learning zmoddler, cpp code and fix it ;)

Anyways, i hope this info has helped you a little.

Debugging Other Peoples Uploads

I'm currently working on an OFP-CWA project so I've been looking at what's out their, getting an idea of what people are / have been using and was rather shocked to find a problem with the file most people have been using.

This unofficial RELEASE "airwolf_mod_allinone_20061125.zip" has a corrupt pbo file

That file from the 25th of November 2006 hosted by moddb.com, gamefront.com and gawd knows how many other servers has a Corrupt PBO file. That corrupt file causes one of the Islands to throw an error when selecting it in the mission editor.

THE ERROR

Cannot open object \tmyk_woodenbridgecenter1.p3d

This is because the "TMYK_Bridges.pbo" is from the 7th of February 2005 which is only 3.93mb because its Corrupted. Open it, the internal file dates are 1st of January 1970 : /

You should be using the "TMYK_Bridges.pbo" from the 24th of September 2005 which is 10.7mb

IE:

DO NOT DOWNLOAD "airwolf_mod_allinone_20061125.zip"

DOWNLOAD THIS "airwolf_mod_allinone_02-SEP-2025.zip"  Here

IF and i stress IF you have downloaded that  airwolf_mod_allinone_20061125.zip

Then you need to replace the "TMYK_Bridges.pbo" file with this one Here

And that'll resolve your error!

I'm surprised no ones raised this issue

This example demo comes with a bomb script and also a useful cam script. The whole thing to our knowledge is by an ofp user called Apricot.

Please be sure that if you share this you Leave the creators instructions inside and do not add any other files to the zip.  It is free to share AS IS. Video of it in action below & download link..

Download the Mission Template: Here

We also have a Cluster Bomb Script somewhere

Airwolf Monitors Addon v2.0B

YOU WOULD ONLY NEED THIS "AW_Monitors.pbo" ADDON IF YOU'VE DOWNLOADED A "MISSION" THAT USES IT! OR YOU'RE MAKING A MISSION THAT WANTS IT.

This Monitors addon contains a total of 22140 JPG files for use on Airwolf's Main E.D.C.C Monitor AKA Dom's Display screen.

Each folder within the AW_Monitors.pbo contains the varied images used to make up an Animation.

The scripts are held within the smaller (easier to download updates) file called "AW_Scripts.pbo"

With both the "AW_Monitors.pbo" and the "AW_Scripts.pbo" you can Simulate a number of on-screen visuals seen in the episodes.

You can Get the AW_Monitors.pbo Here

You also need the AW_Scripts.pbo  Here

Example Video Below:

Airwolf Extended Themes Addon Construction Kit (addon)

This topic is related to Making your own Airwolf Extended Themes addon
for OFP/CWA/ARMA,1,2,3
(should work in take on helicopters as well)

WARNING:
To make this addon you require the Ariwolf extended themes CD's OR the MP3's
DO NOT ASK FOR THEM HERE I WILL DELETE YOUR COMMENT AND BLOCK YOU
I will not be involved in piracy requests, just pay the guys, its worth the price and you can get the mp3's in stores now so there is no excuses...
anyone caught distributing this thing with audio files included will also be booted and blocked.

With that out the way....

Right... where was i.. oo yeah

How To Build Your Addon?

Well first you need your music...
you need WinPBO
and an audio converter.. (oggDrop,  or dbPoweramp)
and the Airwolf Extended Themes Addon Creation Kit.rar (from facebook group)

Rip Your CD or Convert Your MP3's Into WAVE files IE  .wav
(this will make them more stable when recompressing into the OG format)
Convert your WAV files into OGG files
recommended setting for music is 128kbs "CBR" cbr means "Constant Bitrate"
(oggdrop or dbPoweramp can do that)

Q) Can i use wav files in the addon?
A) yes. BUT many ingame effects use WAV and you will tie up your sound card

Q) can i use MP3 in the addon?
A) No.. the game doesn't support it.

Rename Your ogg Files as shown below
(so my Config & Scripts can load them into the game for you)
and then place them in the correct folders.

CD ONE TRACKS "NAME THEM"  AS...

01.ogg
02.ogg
03.ogg
04.ogg
05.ogg
06.ogg
07.ogg
08.ogg
09.ogg
10.ogg
11.ogg
12.ogg
13.ogg
14.ogg
15.ogg
16.ogg
17.ogg
18.ogg
19.ogg
20.ogg
21.ogg
22.ogg

Place them Into the CD1 Folder

CD TWO TRACKS "NAME THEM" AS...

01.ogg
02.ogg
03.ogg
04.ogg
05.ogg
06.ogg
07.ogg
08.ogg
09.ogg
10.ogg
11.ogg
12.ogg
13.ogg
14.ogg
15.ogg
16.ogg
17.ogg
18.ogg
19.ogg
20.ogg
Place them Into the CD2 Folder

Don't get smart with long names,
you just tie up ya cpu with ofp throwing large chunks of code at it, game stutter...
Besides names have to match my scripts...

Use Win PBO to compile the addon (don't use any compression) Tick the Resistance box and save it as this file name    AW_ExtendedThemes.pbo  and place it in the addons folder.. see readme files in RAR on how to use the addon in game

Your PBO should be APPROX  134mb

When you run it In Game with the INT field pasted in here

Enter script code from readme file here, hit ok and click preview
In game you then get the following extra on your Action Menu..

OFP Voices are often Wav or Ogg
OFP Vehicle & Weapon SFX are often Wav or Ogg
OFP Music is Ogg
OFP Environmental wind, water and stuff is mostly Wss
OFP Image support seams to be limited to PAA, PAC and JPG

Still Images Released From Old Video Session

Do you remember this old thing?

Well we got sent some JPG files from this video production that gives us a look at the environment and action with more clarity than a paused still image does. The images were taken during the recording session and as such show much more detail compared to the video render which is very low resolution. The youtube version was deleted by NBC a few years ago, it was interesting to see its still out there on myspace of all places. Here are the images.

Introducing Faguss - A Wizzard With OFP-CWA

This has to be seen to be believed lol,  so you watch that, then i shall note some basics

This is a really cool evolution for OFP and CWA,  really really cool

It also has NO issues with DxDll

You MUST have the  Description.ext  and the Init.sqs in the Mission folder you want to use it on

The current Database (included with this) doesn't cover AWM objects NOR many others
but nothing stops YOU making database files

Fwatch Update fun...

He also has an Ingame Script Editor

And A Cut Scene Editor

Airwolf (AWM) Ammunition Tips & Tricks

Ammunition On The AWM Airwolf Addon

Ammunition Tips & Tricks

To go along with the 5 weapon types
requires the 5 types of ammo.
The ammunition could be re-added in the form of a cheat (script) Or you could place one of the ammo trucks or crates.
Stripping it of it's normal ammo and loading it with Airwolf compatible ammo.
Ammo can be added as Cargo to almost any vehicle OR object.

So Lets Talk Ammunition...
Ammo GUN Class: awmairwolfgunsam
Ammo GUN Class:  awmairwolfcannonsam

Ammo MISSILE Class:  awmairwolfredeye
Ammo MISSILE Class:   awmairwolfhellfire
Ammo MISSILE Class:  awmairwolfcopperhead

So the ammo from addons, can be added to the ammunition trucks provided and ammo crates that come with the game, you could add it to a refuel truck to. You could even add ammo to the lair or an object, vehicle (such as doms jeep) so that you can re-arm airwolf where ever u want when ever you want, be it an ammo truck called by radio, crate, jeep or just a script you run that re-arms the heli like a cheat (script).

First you would need to place an Ammo crate, truck, or object you wish to load with ammo on the map,  Note that you wont see the ammo in game, just the object you add the ammo to.  For example you could add the ammo to santinis jeep, then when parked by airwolf, you could get into airwolf and use the re-arm option if it's parked close enough.  First you need to remove the ammo/weapons that comes with it (if using an ammo truck or ammo crate)  well you don't but it saves game lag over time with other things you have going on..

EXAMPLE: (to remove ammo from a crate, truck or object)

ClearMagazineCargo this

To clear weapons from a crate you would use...

EXAMPLE: (to remove weapons from a crate, truck or object)

ClearWeaponCargo this

Adding ammunition to the object, vehicle or what ever you want to use would be

EXAMPLE:

this AddMagazineCargo  awmairwolfgunsam
this AddMagazineCargo  awmairwolfcannonsam
this AddMagazineCargo  awmairwolfredeye
this AddMagazineCargo  awmairwolfhellfire
this AddMagazineCargo  awmairwolfcopperhead

(Note as yet i haven't included  Sunbursts)  AND we still have some Issues with this
we've also tried the  this AddMagazineCargo ["awmairwolfcopperhea,50"]
  We are still Experimenting

They can be run direct from an INT field (instead of a script) by separating them with a ; like this

this AddMagazineCargo  awmairwolfgunsam; this AddMagazineCargo  awmairwolfcannonsam; this AddMagazineCargo  awmairwolfredeye; this AddMagazineCargo  awmairwolfhellfire; this AddMagazineCargo  awmairwolfcopperhead;

With this in mind, if you look at Appendix F in the ofp Com Ref (Weapon and Ammo List)

You could add the likes of a HK, Grenades, Pipe Bombs, Flares, night vision goggles and other bits to Airwolf, so when you get out, yet stand next to it, there is an option to "Take" the items you added...
pretty handy for missions on foot....
you could even hide things in pre-mapped places using the (objectid) i also remember a back pack addon that let you carry more lol

Also check out the com ref for commands such as doTarget and doWatch they are really handy for making videos or intro, outro based cut scenes.

Airwolf (AWM) Weapons Tips & Tricks

Weapons On The AWM Airwolf Addon

Airwolf Weapons & Deployment

The Airwolf addon comes with the "Guns 1 & 2" mounted within the wing tips (originally called "Chain Guns 1 & 2" they where later renamed) Because the name chain guns is copyrighted.

It also comes with the under belly "ADF POD"
A rocket launcher that has 3 chambers that can be fed 3 types of missile. Maverick, Hellfire and Copperhead. But that said you could change the on board ammo...

So Lets Talk Weapons...

Weapon GUN Class:  awmairwolfguns
Weapon GUN Class:   awmairwolfcannons

Weapon MISSILE Class:   awmairwolfmissilelauncher
Weapon MISSILE Class:   awmairwolfhellfirelauncher
Weapon MISSILE Class:    awmairwolfrocketlauncher

The default weapon is the "Guns" and doesn't do much damage besides to people, pressing the keyboards Spacebar changes it to Cannons, and then pressing it again takes you to the missiles.
You can have a script or a trigger deploy the weapons, so you start with them already out.

EXAMPLE:  (Assuming you named the helicopter Airwolf)

Airwolf animate ["awmfcmswitch ", 1]

MEANING:

unit name   run animation command  the animation phase to change

Using this command (below) retracts them..

Airwolf animate ["awmfcmswitch ", 0.1]

Then you could also have a command run (from the same trigger or script) or another way such as hawke saying gimi a hellfire, maverick or copperhead..
and upon activation it changes the default weapon to one of your choice

EXAMPLE:  (Assuming you named the helicopter Airwolf)

Airwolf selectWeapon awmairwolfmissilelauncher

MEANING:

unit name   weapon selection command  weapon (class) to select

Now as you lnow, the Gunner (Dominic Santini) Sitting in the back does the shooting when you tell him to fire. When your using missiles that don't lock on, the delay between order and action can waste a missile, or even worse.. get you killed...  So what if the mission loaded up with "Manual Fire" already selected?

EXAMPLE:  (Assuming you named the helicopter Airwolf)

Airwolf action ["MANUALFIRE"]
Using the same command again turns it off..

MEANING:

unit name   run an action  action to run

NOTES:
Its a shame really that AWM uses the animation phase, because i liked the RANAirwolf "scripted method" because not only could you mess with the Animation Timing to get the pod cover slide animation looking right, but also you could just deploy the POD or the Winglets (and not have to go full combat mode all the time)
I am looking into making a script for individual control (and will update this post)
but even with individual control, i don't see anyway to sort the timing between the adf pod "cover" moving and the pod lowering or rising.

Also check out the com ref for commands such as doTarget and doWatch they are really handy for making videos or intro, outro based cut scenes.
